Highlights
|
Ride day starts exiting Tibbetts Valley Park's pastoral setting with an
enthusiastic send-off from the Ride Emcee, a team of local High School
Cheerleaders, and family and friends.
The rest stops offer professional first aid staffing, all the water you can
drink, and signature foods-some girly, some burly, but all delish! Not to
mention the cleverly and oh so tastefully decorated “pretty potties.” And let us
not forget the enthusiastic WAVE volunteers staffing, cheering, and always
dancing up a storm that await you at each stop along the way.
At the finish line riders are presented with a handmade medal of thanks and an
Amore chocolate truffle. Riders deserve a party after the event and that’s what
the post-ride reception gives them. Stop and check out the Clothesline Exhibit
(a tribute to survivors of domestic violence), visit vendor booths, win prizes,
sample some goodies, and enjoy more girl time.

SAFE PASSAGE BREAKFAST ~ A WORLD OF HOPE
OCTOBER 8, 2010
Hyatt Regency, Bellevue
VICTOR RIVAS RIVERS
Keynote Speaker/Actor/Author/Activist
Why has this movie bad guy taken on the most underreported crime in America?
Because Victor Rivers lived it as a victim and as a witness to brutal abuse.
Thanks to those who stepped in as his champions, he was able to break the cycle
of violence.
Rivers’s dramatic personal story also reflects an amazing portrait of a young
man overcoming the odds. Thanks to the intervention of his community, Rivers
turned his life around dramatically.
Rivers played professional football for the Miami Dolphins. Today, he is a
veteran star of more than two dozen films ~ THE HULK, THE MASK OF ZORRO, FEAR
CITY to name a few and he is an actor and guest star on popular television shows
~ 24, CSI MIAMI, LIFE, etc. Victor is a nationally recognized author of the
highly acclaimed memoir, A Private Family Matter.
As the spokesperson for the National Network to End Domestic Violence, he uses
his own harrowing story of surviving abuse on the level of torture to raise
awareness about what he considers our greatest, yet most curable disease.
He has told this remarkable story of survival and hope in his The New York Times
bestseller, A Private Family Matter. Join us to hear our Keynote Speaker Victor
Rivas Rivers on October 8th. RSVP to Lisa Arnold at 425-562-8840 x-239 or
